Providing Exceptional Caregivers to St.Louis, MO and the Surrounding Areas
Our goal is to provide top quality services at the most reasonable price. Since 1987, Senior Services Unlimited has been providing services to seniors that promote personal independence.
How are the employees screened?
The following process occurs before hiring an employee: an in person interview is given at one of our offices, then a potential employee must attend an in-service given by the agency nurse, next their employment history is evaluated (including work references), we then process the applicant through Jefferson City, where the Missouri Dept. of Health checks further to make sure there is no criminal record, and that their name does not appear on the EDL (Employment Disqualification List). The final step before sending the caregiver into the field is bonding the employee.
How quickly can we receive help in our home?
First, the Director of Nurses will make a visit (free of charge) to the potential client's home for an assessment. After this visit, a personalized care plan is written up, which includes the type of care to be received in the home. We can normally staff an hourly case by the next day. If Live-In service is needed, this may take 1-2 days.
What happens if a caregiver does not show up for work, or calls in sick?
If a caregiver is not meeting my expectation, how soon should I notify the office?
Although we try very hard to send the right person, occasionally we may have to send several caregivers to the home before the perfect match is made. If you are not satisfied with your caregiver, we ask that you contact us as soon as possible. This will give us sufficient time to look for a replacement.
Do you service clients on the weekend, and is there any additional charge?
Yes, we do staff the weekends, and there is no extra charge.
